A truly exceptional inlaid Victorian desk in the Sheraton Revival style by Edwards & Roberts, Wardour Street, London. circa 1880

Edwards & Roberts ( 1845 -1899 ) are considered to be the finest of the London cabinet makers of the Victorian period. Along with their great rivals ‘Maple & Co’ their furniture was purchased exclusively by the ‘Great & the Good’ of Victorian society. Much information about them can be on the internet and examples can be seen in the Victoria & Albert museum, London.

This example ( our stock no. 1203 ) is in almost perfect  original condition with no repairs or restorations, only the normal minor scuffs & wear & tear expected with an item in excess of 130 years old.  As such it is both rare & very collectable.    We will be pleased to provide a full condition report  & photographs about  the desk if required,  and we can arrange to crate &  ship anywhere World Wide.
