Our desk of the month for October is an exceptional high quality, Victorian, full double sided partners desk made around 1890 by the famous English cabinetmakers Garnett & Sons, Warrington, Lanc’s. Fully stamped, Garnett & Sons where considered to rank alongside Gillow & Sons also from Lancashire for very high quality craftmanship & attention to detail.

The desk is double sided with nine full drawers to each side (18 in total) all with locking sidebars & keys. One piece Kneehole type. Within one drawer is a lockable secret compartment also with key. The desk has been restored & polished to showroom condition. The writing surface having a newly fitted tan colour full hide leather tooled writing surface to match the original. A really first class late Victorian mahogany desk.
