Irish, George 111 period, Mahogany Knee-hole Desk, circa 1770/80. Presented in top showroom condition.

We rarely get really good mahogany desks from the mid-Georgian period and still less genuine Irish ones.   This one, was probably constructed in Cork with Cuban mahogany that was used as ballast in the ships returning from West Indies around 1770/80.    Sized 41ins wide x 25ins deep, it has within its thirteen solid oak lined drawers, a vast amount of storage space and is very impressive and perfect for the home or smaller office where space is limited.

Raised on bracket feet with a paneled back, this desk has been carefully restored, re-french polished and is now presented in top showroom condition.   It can be fully  inspected in our garden showroom near New Ross, Co.Wexford., by prior telephone agreement and a full condition report on this and all our desks is available to overseas buyers.
